The third annual North vs South Modified Shootout will be held this year, Sunday, October 22nd, at the Music City Motorplex, Nashville, TN. A five eighths mile banked race track, located at the fairgrounds, rich in history and tradition. Some of the greatest races of all time have been at Nashville and the track has produced some outstanding racing talent.
In ’05 the race was held at Nashville’s Music City Motorplex and won by northerner Dave Stacy of Enon, Ohio.
Modified racers from several tracks and sanctioning bodies will be represented at Nashville. From the North, Modifieds from the USA Modified Series, American Modified Series, Michigan Modified Association, and several local track champions are expected to make the drive south to compete. The South will have racers from the Gulf Coast Modified Series, FASCAR Mods, USRA Texas Modified Series, as well as many of the “Alabama Gang” weekly racers are expected for this annual event!
Along with the prize money this years winner will again receive the “Champions Guitar” a long time Nashville tradition that is by far one of the most cherish trophies in short track racing.
