Brad Springer is preparing to go after the USA Modified
Championship once again in 2008. With Brad finishing the
2006 and 2007 seasons in 4th place the Springer Motorsports
team is preparing to do what ever it takes to get the
Champions trophy in 2008. "We had a great year in 2007. We
had some bad luck at ORP (O'Reilly Raceway Park in
Indianapolis, IN) and if we would have been able to finish
those races there we would have been in the position to win
the championship this year. That is how racing goes as they
say. It was just frustrating to be so close to the
championship but yet so far away from winning it. We have
great equipment and I have a great crew chief and wife
Stacy. She really does do a ton for this team and does not
always get the
recognition and pats on the back that she should. My mom and
dad are also a big help to me. They provide us with a great
shop to work out of and also provide support to our team
through out the season. They hardly ever miss a race and are
always there to support me and the team." Brad stated during
a recent interview.
The
Springer Motorsports team are currently prepping two Sherman
Enterprise Chassis's and putting the power plants provided
by Rapid Race Cars into them. Brad and his team signed on
with Ground Floor Motorsports Marketing in August of 2007
and they are both working on putting marketing plans into
place to help the Springer Motorsports team for 2008 and
also to help provide marketing plans and partners for the
USA Modified Series as well. Brad plans on running the full
circuit with the USA Modified series this season along with
other races when the schedule allows. Then in 2009 plans are
currently getting put into place for Brad to head south.
Talks are currently underway with a USAR Pro Hooters Cup
team and also a NASCAR Craftsman truck team about putting a
competitive schedule together for Brad. Brad will still come
and run some Modified shows with the O'Reilly series when
his schedule allows. "I love running with this series and
everyone who is part of it. We just have had a lot of luck
happen to fall our way during this off season and with
Chad's (Orr) and the people at GFMM Inc. have made some
serious strides for my career that I would never have
imagined. It is an opportunity or a lifetime for me to go
south in 2009 and I am excited about this as well. The first
thing I want to accomplish is this championship for 2008.
That way if the plans down south do not pan out as we hope
then I will still have great momentum to come back to the
series in 2009." Brad stated while doing interviews after
the awards banquet last weekend.
The Springer
team is excited about the 2008 season as well as us here
at GFMM Inc. If you are interested coming on board and
becoming a marketing partner with Brad for the 2008
racing season. Please contact Chad Orr at the contact
