Indiana native and a great start on the 2006 season for the newly
formed team of Brian Nester and Burkett.

qualifying, Enon Ohio’s Dave Stacey picked up the “Firebottle Fast
Time Award” with a blistering 16.767 around the half mile, semi
banked oval. Second fast was Mike Carroll with a 16.854, followed
by former Series Champion Rodney Scott with a 16.880.

Ohio’s Bud Perry that got the jump on Tony Dager and held him off
for the win.
With thirty eight cars on hand the Last Chance race was full of
good cars as drivers tried to make their way into the Demon Carbs
50 lap feature. Former Series Champs Jeff Lane and Jason Dietsch
along with ’05 USA Rookie standouts Scotty Tomasik and Mike Hadley
Jr. were just a few of the great cars racing’ for the six transfer

Curry. Hadley would use a provisional along with USA veteran Mike
Thurman to make the feature.
It would be Rodney Scott on the pole followed by Tim Burkett, Bud
Perry, Mike Carroll, and local Matt Leedy. It was Burkett and
Scott side by side for the first lap before Burkett finally edged
his way in front leaving Mike Carroll and Scott to battle for
second, with Carroll taking second Scott would finally move up to
take over third.
